Does anyone know if there is a way to embed DEM data in a raster map and then convert it into some garmin format?? Like Garmin GB Discovered maps... http://www.garmingbdiscoverer.co.uk/

You can install DEM map into your GPS, for example from here: http://gpsmaniak.com/new/download-garmin-hipso.htm (DEM_base)
Of course you will need to turn it *ON*, not off like on the picture

Those maps seems to be vector maps... Are they?

I mean raster maps with DEM data, coordinate z of elevation, i dont mean contours lines.

GB Discoverer maps seems to be raster maps with elevation, is it?

No, GB Discoverer is a vector map with raster add-on. Included DEM is a part of vector map format.

Ive tried to send a background img with only dem data and a raster covering the same area, but it it doesnt work...

No, I don't know how to create DEM nor how to include raster map into Garmin img.
